Activision Blizzard Shares Promising Revenue Figures despite Facing Allegations of Harassment
Just recently, Activision Blizzard has come under a lot of fire following allegations of discrimination and harassment. Due to the allegations being imposed on the company, it is currently facing a very difficult time. From the looks of it, Activision Blizzard is currently feeling threatened due to the lawsuit filed against it following the same allegations.
Despite facing such a critical situation, Activision Blizzard has reported that its earnings have experienced a surge. Activision has announced that as a result of the major game titles it currently owns and supports, it has generated huge revenue.
Activision Blizzard executives shared their excitement for generating high revenue in the second quarter of 2021. The company has revealed that from major titles such as Candy Crush, World of Warcraft, and Call of Duty, it has generated over $2.3 billion in revenue.
According to Activision Blizzard, its revenue in the second quarter of 2021 has increased by 19%, as compared to the second quarter of 2020. Activision Blizzard has also revealed that in the second quarter of 2021, the company has generated higher revenue than the analysts’ forecast.
So far, the company is performing really well in terms of the sales and revenue it has generated in the second quarter of 2021. However, the company is expecting a downtrend for its stock prices following the lawsuit filed against the company.
Activision Blizzard’s CEO, Bobby Kotick talked about the performance and the results Activision Blizzard has delivered in the second quarter of 2021. Kotick stated that the company has been constantly growing its business, sales, and revenues.
Even the second quarter of 2021 has turned out to be very please for the company. They are more than pleased with the performance the company has been delivering year after year.
Kotick stated that they have always focused and are determined for the well-being of their employees. This is the reason they are dedicated to doing whatever they can in order to cater to the needs of their employees.
They want to eradicate bad elements from their company and discrimination and gender abuse are on top of that. They have always wanted to provide their employees with a safe and secure environment where the employees feel supported.
Therefore, they are going to continue and provide their employees with such an environment and treatment so they never feel left out.
Despite the statement made by the CEO of the company, there are still a lot of uncertainties as to where the lawsuit filed against the company is going to lead. With the company facing an organized worker walkout in the month of July, things may not turn out to be favorable for the company in the third quarter.
In the last 24-hours, the stock price for the company has experienced a 1.22% drop, which is not a figure to be ignored, given the fact the company is expecting high revenues in the upcoming quarters.
